Beginning Tuesday, November 18, Dr. Bob Harkins, Chair of the Parking Strategies Committee will report findings and draft recommendations to campus regarding the Committee on Business Productivity’s suggestions for university parking assets. You may recall that the Parking Strategies Committee was charged with analyzing current parking operations and comparing them to alternative solutions and approaches. The committee was also asked to analyze historical approaches to permit pricing versus the utilization of market-based approaches. Finally, the committee was charged with understanding the effect that parking pricing strategies will have on the university community (i.e., students, faculty, and staff). The meetings scheduled over the next few weeks are intended to solicit campus feedback prior to submitting a finalized report to President Powers:
